Breakfast Smoothie

If you are not prone to diarrhoea, you can introduced the GAPS smoothie from the beginning in stage 1 or 2.


Vegetable juice can spike blood sugar, and some do not tolerate it well. This smoothie recipe includes healthy fats to slow the absorption of the sugars and provide probiotic drink.




  • 1 apple

  • 2 carrot

  • 3 celery sticks

  • ½ avocado

  • 5 tbsp. yoghurt/kefir/sour cream

  • 1 whole/yolk egg


1. Freshly press fruit and vegetables in juicer.

2. Blend in the blender: juice, egg, yoghurt, and avocado.
